Our Mission

The SDU Department of Sociology is committed to producing scientific knowledge at international standards, transferring the knowledge it produces to the next generation, and developing projects that make a social contribution.

Our Vision

The SDU Department of Sociology aims to be a pioneer in the discipline of sociology, to carry out studies at an international level, and to transfer the results of these studies to society and young people.

In line with its mission and vision, our department adopts an innovative and continuously improving approach in accordance with Quality Management System standards. We aim to educate qualified individuals who are equipped with professional knowledge and skills and who adopt service to society as a principle. While enabling academic and administrative units to perform at a high level in harmony, we base our administrative processes on a fair and transparent management approach. We value the opinions of our stakeholders, we are open to national and international cooperation, and we commit to being an institution that observes technological and scientific standards in our education and research activities.
