About Us

Our department was established in 2005 and started undergraduate education in 2005-2006 academic year with its first students. It is a member of Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana Programs. In this sense, it continues its teaching and research activities in a way to cover current philosophical debates. The aim of our department is to raise awareness that philosophical knowledge and thinking is one of the most important solution tools in the face of social problems, both for our students and other people interested in philosophy; to bring solutions to social problems and to train people who can bring these suggestions. Considering the close relationship of philosophy with many fields such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Art, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Physics, Biology, Sociology, Psychology, History, Art, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, etc., our department aims to provide a curriculum for interdisciplinary common application areas. Students who graduate from the Department of Philosophy have the opportunity to become experts and academicians through postgraduate education and philosophy group teachers if they receive pedagogical education certificates. Thanks to the education and training they receive, our students have very different cultural equipment and knowledge. Therefore, they can create job opportunities for themselves in every field where human beings exist in the face of developing technologies and new ideas. There are 2 Prof. Dr., 4 Assoc. Dr. and 1 Dr and 2 Research Assistants in our department. In addition, there is a Master's program called Philosophy USA in our department.
