Art History
The aim of the department is to educate specialists who have already learned the art and its history in depth placed by human being from ancient times to present day. In the program of Art History, in addition to basic courses, teaching the relation of this scientific branch with other scientific fields such as Archeology, History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Sociology is the very basis. Besides, taken into consideration the new expansions of main sciences to the history of art, it has been aimed at including informational areas such as excavation and research techniques of middle age archeology in particular, conservation principles, museum management and protection of cultural values and the law of ancient works into educational program in the form of a course or curriculum.
