The Department of English Language and Literature at Süleyman Demirel University is a modern department established to raise individuals who contribute to society, culture, and science through the study of English language, literature, and culture, while enhancing students' written and oral English proficiency and usage.

As the Department of English Language and Literature, we aim to equip our students culturally, socially, and intellectually through a comprehensive and modern education provided in all aspects. With the belief that individuals empowered by the strength of language can shape societies and the world, we aspire to cultivate the literary scholars, linguists, writers, poets, translators, leaders, cultural ambassadors, and thought leaders of the future.
