Apollonia (Borgulu) - Uluborlu Archaeological Excavations - Assoc. Prof. Abdullah Bakır

Under the direction of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Bakır, a faculty member of our department, the Surface Survey of the Seljuk and Beylik Periods in the Uluborlu District of Isparta Province, which has been ongoing for four seasons, has been successfully concluded. Following the completion of this project, archaeological excavations and cleaning activities were initiated in the ancient city of Apollonia (Borgulu), conducted under the scientific supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Bakır and the directorship of the Isparta Museum Directorate. The initial phase of these excavations was carried out between July 15 and September 9, 2024.
