Authority, Duties and Responsibilities
1. The department is managed by the head of the department.
2. The head of the department leaves one of the faculty members as a deputy for the periods when he/she cannot be in charge.
3. In case of a leave of absence for more than six months for any reason, a new head of department is appointed by the same method to complete the remaining period.
4. The head of the department is responsible for the education, training and research of the department at all levels and for the regular and efficient execution of all kinds of activities of the department.
5. Presides over the department boards.
6. Reports the needs of the department to the Dean's Office in writing.
7. Ensures that all correspondence between the Dean's Office and the Department is carried out in a healthy manner.
8. Ensures coordination between the departments affiliated to the Department.
9. Ensures that the course distribution of the department is balanced among the teaching staff.
10. Ensures that education and training in the department is carried out in an organized manner.
11. Ensures that supplementary course and exam fee schedules are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
12. Identifies the problems of the department related to education and training and submits them to the Dean's Office.
13. Carries out the evaluation and quality improvement studies of the department and submits the reports to the Dean's Office.
14. Carries out the accreditation studies of the programs affiliated to the department.
15. It tries to create a communication environment among the academic staff in the Department for the purpose of efficient and effective realization of education and scientific research.
16. Provides the necessary information about the Department for the Faculty Academic General Assembly.
17. Ensures that course registrations are made regularly at the beginning of each semester.
18. Deals closely with the educational problems of the students of the department.
19. Ensures that student-faculty relations in the department are carried out in a regular and healthy manner in line with the aims of education and training.
20. Holds meetings with the advisors for regular course registrations.
21. Ensures that the undergraduate education and examination regulations and directives are implemented in accordance with their spirit.
22. Ensures that the lecturers conduct their courses regularly.
23. Ensures the planning and execution of the department ERASMUS/FARABİ programs.
24. To comply with the ethical rules of the faculty, to participate in internal control activities,
25. Performs other duties assigned by the Dean's Office related to his/her field of duty.
- To be able to use the necessary tools and equipment for the realization of the activities.
- To use the representation authority of Süleyman Demirel University.
- To have signature authority.
- To have the authority to assign work to the managers and personnel under his/her command, to direct them, to control and correct their work, to warn them when necessary, to request information and reports.
1. The chair is appointed for three years by the dean in faculties, by the dean upon the recommendation of the director in colleges affiliated to the faculty, and by the rector upon the recommendation of the director in colleges affiliated to the rectorate, from among the paid professors of the department, associate professors in the absence of associate professors, and assistant associate professors in the absence of associate professors. The chair whose term expires may be reappointed.

10. Works to create an appropriate communication environment among the teaching staff in the Department for the purpose of efficient and effective realization of education and scientific research.
11. Ensures the regular preparation and maintenance of research projects in the department.
12. Carries out the evaluation and quality improvement studies of the department.
13. Ensures that the output competencies of the department are determined
14. Prepares the self-assessment report of the department.
15. Prepares the strategic plan of the department.
16. Carries out the necessary work for the accreditation of the department.
17. Prepares the annual reports of the evaluation and quality improvement activities of the department and submits them to the Head of Department.
18. Provides the necessary information about the Department for the Faculty Academic General Assembly.
19. Prepares the seminar programs of the Department in each academic semester and submits them to the Head of the Department.
20. Ensures that course registrations are made regularly at the beginning of each semester

23. Ensures that course grades are entered into the automation system regularly.

28. Ensures that the diploma supplement is prepared by taking into account the European Credits Transfer System (ECTS) in the department.

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the senior management of Süleyman Demirel University; The chair may appoint up to two people from the faculty members in the department as vice-chairs. The chair may change his/her deputies when deemed necessary. When the duty of the chair ends, the duty of the deputies also ends.
Vice chairs of departments are academic staff who assist the chair in fulfilling his/her duties and are not the hierarchical supervisors of the academic staff working in the unit. The vice chairs act as the hierarchical supervisors of the lecturers working in the unit in case they deputize the chair.
